The Current Survey Question....

Recent high profile security breaches at ChoicePoint and Bank of America have led to increased discussion about privacy and security laws. Does the industry need new laws or regulations to protect consumer data or is there some other solution to prevent security breaches?
    New laws should be drafted to regulate data brokers more closely and make them adhere to higher levels of security.

    Rules are tough to enforce. Data brokers and users should voluntarily employ better procedures, such as truncating personal identifiers like Social Security numbers, to safeguard sensitive consumer data.
